Upper Midim Hydropower Project (UMHPP)

The Upper Midim Hydropower Project (UMHP) is a 7.5 MW run-of-river hydropower project located in Bhujung VDC, Lamjung District, Nepal, utilizing water from the Midim Khola. The project is designed to generate 42.167 GWh of energy annually, with a transmission line of approximately 28 km to evacuate power to the Bhorletar Substation. The project has completed key milestones such as obtaining licenses, environmental clearances, and financial closure, with significant progress in land acquisition and infrastructure development. Currently, civil works are ongoing, and environmental mitigation plans are being implemented as per the approved EIA report.
